Veidekke to build four-lane motorway between Ulricehamn and Borås
Trafikverket has awarded Veidekke Entreprenad the contract for construction of a four-lane motorway on road 40 between Borås and Ulricehamn. The total value of the contract is SEK 540 million (excluding VAT).
The contract comprises Road 40 Phase 2, Dållebo-Hester, and consists of seven kilometres of motorway, seven bridges, 400 meters of tunnel through Vistbergen, and substantial rock, water and drainage, tunnel and concrete work. When all stages of Dållebo-Hester work are completed, road 40/E4 will have motorway standard between Gothenburg and Ulricehamn, and central reservations all the way from Gothenburg to Stockholm.
Veidekke has previously been awarded Förbifart Sjöbo, north of Borås, which will result in synergies, among other things through material purchases. The work, which is a turnkey project, will be carried out in cooperation with Veidekke Anläggning SydVäst and Veidekke Tunnel och Bergrum.

We started planning the project in May, and it is an excited and strong team that will carry out the project. Work begins in December and it is expected that it will take three years to complete.
