Veidekke to build homes for Selvaag and Ferd in Oslo
Veidekke Entreprenør has been contracted to build the second phase of the Tiedemannfabrikken residential project in Ensjø, Oslo. Phase two comprises 222 apartments and the contract is valued at NOK 359 million, excl. VAT. Veidekke is already well under way with the first phase of the project, which comprises 158 apartments.
"We are very pleased to once again be selected as the preferred house builder for Selvaag and Ferd in Ensjø. When this is finished, we will have completed a total of 1,200 apartments, three kindergartens, a large school and an office building in the local area. We are looking forward to carrying out this project," says Veidekke's project manager, Kaare Gilhus.
The residential project will be located in peaceful, quiet surroundings at the end of a cul-de-sac, surrounded by areas of parkland, small houses and new buildings. The Ensjø and Hasle metro stations will also be just a short walk away. The buildings will be constructed of in-situ concrete and largely be built by Veidekke's own full-time specialists in ground works, timber, masonry and concrete.
There has been a lot of interest in the apartments and sales have been good. Construction work will start in autumn 2017 and is scheduled for completion in early 2020.
The contract is included in Veidekke's order backlog for the second quarter.
