Veidekke to build new E6 Boksrud - Minnesund
Today Veidekke Entreprenør AS signed a contract with the Norwegian Public Roads Administration to build a new four-lane motorway on E6 between Boksrud and Minnesund in Akershus County. The value of the contract is NOK 378 million excluding VAT.
An approximately 7.5-kilometre motorway for speeds up to 100 km/h with four lanes and a total width of 20 metres will be built. 1.2 kilometres will go through the Eidsvoll tunnel, which is to be upgraded and a parallel bore constructed beside it.
The contract also includes 900 metres of local roads as well as demolition of existing and construction of four new flyovers. The entire project involves widening existing E6.
Work will begin during October and is scheduled for completion during May 2012.
