This project is part of the development of a new 5.1 kilometre long section of the E16 between Wøyen and Bjørum in Bærum outside Oslo. The project will entail, among other things, blasting and excavating 116,000 cubic metres of rock above ground and 340,000 cubic metres in the tunnels and casting 90,000 square metres of concrete vaults inside the tunnels.

Work will commence just after the new year and be completed by 31 December 2007. The construction consultants for the project are Reinertsen Engineering AS.
