Veidekke to build Os Sjøfront outside Bergen
Veidekke Entreprenør AS has signed a contract with the housing cooperative StorBergen Boligbyggelag to build the first phase of the residential project Os Sjøfront. The project consists of two blocks of flats with a total of 41 flats located in the municipality of Os outside Bergen. The value of the contract is NOK 122.4 million excl. VAT.
Os Sjøfront AS is owned by StorBergen Boligbyggelag and the Profier Group. The residential project was announced for sale in March this year and so far 40 percent of the homes have been sold. The company has thus decided that construction work can go ahead.
The first phase consists of two blocks of flats with a total of 41 flats. The contract also includes the construction of a 4,100 square metre parking facility and a 6,300 square metre quay on steel pole foundations. The load bearing system for homes and parking will be carried out using in situ concrete.
Construction is expected to start during September, with completion planned for June 2012.
Veidekke Entreprenør AS has an option to build two corresponding residential blocks of flats at Os Sjøfront.
