Veidekke to build shopping centre and homes at Nesoddtangen
Veidekke Entreprenør has entered into a contract to build a new shopping centre, rehabilitate an existing shopping centre and build 36 new homes at Tangen in Nesodden municipality. The project comprises a total of approx. 15,000 square metres and is a turnkey contract. The contracts have a total value of approx. NOK 160 million, excluding VAT.
The new shopping centre will have a retail area of 4,900 square metres with a 6,600 square metre parking garage. The building will be constructed of pre-fabricated concrete with facades in plaster, brick and glass. The principal for the construction and rehabilitation of the shopping centre is Tangen Sentrum Nærsenter AS, which is owned by Norgesgruppen ASA. Work has already started, and is to be completed in the summer of 2011.
In the existing centre the retail area of 4,000 square metres is to be completely refurbished. New shops, a new goods reception area and a new 1,600 square metre Meny supermarket are to be established. The facades are to be resurfaced with plaster. Work is to be completed by the 4th quarter of 2011.
The homes will consist of four apartment blocks with a total of 36 apartments. Three of the apartment blocks are located at the new centre. The apartment blocks will be constructed of pre-fabricated concrete with facades in plaster and wood. Principal is Tangen Torg AS, which is jointly owned (50% each) by Tangen Sentrum Nærsenter AS and Veidekke Eiendom AS. Construction starts in the third quarter of 2010 and the apartments are to be completed in the third and fourth quarter of 2011. All of the apartments have been sold.
