Veidekke to build the first Stay At hotel in Gothenburg

Veidekke Entreprenad AB, Region West, has been commissioned by the property owner, Alecta Pensionsförsäkring, and property manager, Newsec Asset Management AB, to build the first Stay At, formerly Accome, in Gothenburg.




Veidekke was previously commissioned by Alecta to replace facades and convert the huge property, comprising Mektagonen, into a modern office building with modern new exterior, and convert part of two of the three buildings into offices. The third building will become an apartment hotel with a hotel reception directly connected with the ordinary business reception desk.


The assignment is a coordinated general contract valued at approximately MSEK 70 and will run from November 2008 to September 2009.
