Veidekke Entreprenør AS has signed a contract with the Public Roads Administration in Hordaland for the construction of the Moberg Bridge in Os outside Bergen. The contract price is NOK 22 million.
The Public Roads Administration is building a bypass road on the E39 to the west of the small town of Os. In connection with this, a bridge is to be built across the south-east end of Lake Ulven. This will be a nine-span bridge with a total length of 234 metres. The total width, including two traffic lanes, shoulders and bridge rail, will be 10.3 metres.

The bridge is designed as a pre-stressed concrete slab bridge, cast on site, section by section. The abutment piers and columns will be founded on steel pipe piles driven into the rock and subsequently reinforced and filled with concrete.

Construction starts on 1 September 2003 and will take 12 months.
