The centre will be developed over a 3-4 year period and the result at the end of the construction period will be a large, modern and attractive shopping centre. The number of shops will be increased from the present 62 to about 105.

The net floor space will be doubled to over 33,000 square metres from today's 16,500 square metres. The total area of the centre will be increased from 29,000 to about 45,000 square metres. The contract also includes the construction of a multi-storey car park totalling 25,000 square metres.

The centre will be open to the public throughout the construction period.

The construction work will be carried out jointly by Veidekke District Buskerud and Veidekke Region Heavy Construction, District Oslo, and will start immediately. The project will give work to about 150 people, of which 40 are Veidekke's own employees.
