The City of Lidingö has awarded Veidekke Bygg Stockholm the contract to renovate the Lidingö Town Hall. The renovation is Veidekke's seventh project in cooperation with the City of Lidingö and is a part of the current framework contract.

The project has started, and work is expected to continue until the summer of 2019. Veidekke's contract includes designing the construction and executing the construction project in collaboration. Approximately 15,000 m2 will be renovated.

"It is very pleasing that the City of Lidingö has the confidence in us to renovate the Town Hall," says Per Wall, project manager with Veidekke. "The contract suits our organization very well, and we are looking forward to continuing our partnership with the City of Lidingö. We call what we do together collective intelligence - a partnership free of prestige where we help each other reach common goals."

In November 2015 the City Council decided that the Town Hall would undergo technical renovation, be adapted to future needs and also increase the building's efficiency. The city administration has subsequently worked on in-depth needs assessments and calculations.

Veitech, one of Veidekke's subsidiaries, will be responsible for all technical installations.
