Veidekke to renovate the ABN quarter in Oslo

Anthon B Nilsen AS has awarded Veidekke Entreprenør AS the contract to renovate the ABN quarter in Oslo (Rådhusgata 27 and Øvre Vollgate 7). The value of the contract is NOK 155 million excluding VAT.

 Rådhusgata 27 will have been owned by Anthon B Nilsen for 100 years when completed in June next year. The office building dates from 1970 and the façades are listed.

The building is to be stripped down to the concrete and will undergo a complete internal renovation. Following renovation, the building will appear as a modern and environmentally efficient office building for users of the future. Øvre Vollgate 7 will be connected to Rådhusgata 27 in order to form a large and appropriate floor plan. The renovated building will have a gross area of approx. 12,000 m2.

Demolition work starts during week 8 and the building is to be completed by June 2012.

The project has been developed in cooperation with Anthon B Nilsen Eiendom, and the parties are very content to go ahead with the project.
