Veidekke to strengthen capacity on the Vänerbanen railway and E45 road between Trollhättan and Gothenburg

In February Veidekke will commence work on improving capacity on the Vänerbanen railway and E45 road between Trollhättan and Gothenburg. The value of the contract is SEK 254 million.

 Among other things, the contract includes

· rebuilding of 4,080 metres of existing two-lane road to four-lane road with central reserve
· new exit and entry ramps
· new lay-bys
· noise embankments with accompanying noise barriers

"This is an important contract that Veidekke has been awarded by the Swedish Transport Administration. It proves that we continue to strengthen our position as the value-adding partner in western Sweden," says Project Manager Kenneth Karlsson of Veidekke Entreprenad, Region Syd/Väst.

Work commences in February 2011 and is to be completed in December 2012.
