Veidekke wins Holmenkollen contract

Veidekke Entreprenør AS has won a contract from Idrettsetaten, the agency in charge of sports in the City of Oslo, for all the ground and concrete work in connection with the rebuilding of Holmenkollbakken, the city's famous landmark ski jump. Value of the contract is NOK 114 million, excluding VAT.


The contract includes footings for new in-run structure, new knoll shell, foundation work for the judges' tower, royal grandstand and new spectator stands.
Furthermore, the contract also includes terrain adjustments and building new approach areas for the public.


Work will commence immediately and is to be completed by 1 December 2009. The contract will provide employment for around 30 of Veidekke's own skilled workers in addition to administration and subcontractors.
