In partnership with architects and consultants, Veidekke Entreprenør has won the innovation competition for the development and construction of the Ulven residential project in Oslo. This is one of OBOS's biggest development projects of all time, comprising a total of 3,000 homes. OBOS and Veidekke are now starting work on preparing the first sub-area for sale.

"Ulven is a very interesting project where we as contractor have composed a team of architects and consultants with the best residential expertise in the business. Together we have arrived at what we believe is the way forward for collaboration and construction. Since the late summer of 2016 we have worked on a concept that will make Ulven a green district with attractive, affordable homes," says head of department Anders W. Haugen of Veidekke.

OBOS's goals for the innovation competition:
- Develop affordable homes without compromising living and housing quality
- Create good residential communities with a forward-looking profile
- Facilitate innovation and industrialisation that benefits the customer

A planning decision in 2015 regulated the Ulven planning area for combined commercial and residential purposes, while the existing buildings comprise mainly offices, warehouses and logistics facilities. OBOS is planning to build 3,000 homes and 200,000 square metres of commercial property on the 280 decare area over the next 20 years.
