Carrollton, TX, July 20, 2011 -   On Saturday, July 30, 2011 VRM Seeds of Hope, the charitable arm of Carrollton, TX based Vendor Resource Management (VRM), is sponsoring a “Day of Caring” in the Forest Heights Neighborhood of South Dallas. Joining VRM Seeds of Hope in this community outreach effort will be Rebuilding Together and the St. Philip’s School and Community Center.

The VRM Seeds of Hope “Day of Caring” will benefit elderly homeowners in Forest Heights. Volunteers will spend the day installing storm doors, assembling garden work tables and benches and performing general gardening. “VRM Seeds of Hope actively seeks revitalization efforts in communities that have been hit hardest by the housing crisis.””, said Keith D. Murray, Founder, CEO and President of Vendor Resource Management. “We embrace the opportunity to impact neighborhoods like Forest Heights.”

VRM Seeds of Hope was founded in 2009 as the vehicle for VRM employees to make charitable contributions. Since then the mission of VRM Seeds of Hope has expanded. Bringing value to the lives of families, rejuvenating distressed communities and maintaining the integrity of neighborhoods impacted by the ongoing foreclosure crisis are the tenets that now guide the work of VRM Seeds of Hope.

Rebuilding Together is the nation’s leading nonprofit whose focus is revitalizing communities and preserving affordable homeownership. Through a network of over 200 affiliates, Rebuilding Together provides free repair and rehabilitation to the homes of low-income individuals across the nation. "We are pleased to partner with VRM Seeds of Hope and follow the mission of Rebuilding Together Greater Dallas by bringing volunteers and communities together to improve the homes and lives of homeowners in need", said Executive Director Maggie Brodnax.

The St. Philip’s School and Community Center, located at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in South Dallas, has been serving residents of Forest Heights for over 20 years. Under the leadership of Headmaster Dr. Terry Flowers, St. Philip’s has established itself as the leading catalyst for change in Southern Dallas.  Mr. Murray stated, “After visiting and touring with Dr. Flowers, I was highly impressed with the work St. Philip’s is doing in this neighborhood. Partnering with an organization that shares VRM’s commitment to breathing life into distressed communities was an easy decision to make.”
