Vestas order for 44 wind turbines in the USA
Vestas has received an order for 44 wind turbines to be delivered to a wind
power project in the USA. The order comprises the supply and commissioning of
the turbines and a five-year service and maintenance agreement. Delivery of the
turbines is scheduled to begin in the first half of 2009 with commissioning
planned for the second half of 2010.
At the customer's request, details about project ownership, exact location, etc.
cannot be disclosed.

In 2007, over 5,200 MW of new wind generating capacity was put in place in the
USA, representing a growth of 45 per cent on the previous year. In the first
quarter of 2008, a total of 1,400 MW of new wind power capacity worth
approximately USD 3bn was installed according to the American Wind Energy
Association.
