Vestas receives 100 MW order for Sweden

Vestas has received an order for delivery of 100 MW for Sweden. The order
comprises delivery of 50 units of the V90-2.0 MW turbine for various wind power
projects in Sweden. Furthermore, the order includes the option to buy
commissioning of the turbines, a VestasOnlineTM Business Scada solution as well
as a two-year service agreement. Delivery of the turbines will take place during
2010.

The order has been placed by Vattenfall Vindkraft Sverige AB, one of
Scandinavia's largest developers within wind energy and a long-time customer of
Vestas.

“We are very pleased to announce the signing of this contract with Vattenfall,
and we look forward to working together with them on this order,” says Klaus
Steen Mortensen, President of Vestas Northern Europe A/S, and continues: “Sweden
is playing an important role in the development of wind power in Scandinavia and
the country's ambitious targets of increasing its share of renewables are also
in line with Vestas' strategic plans.”

“This order is a huge step forward in the strengthening of Vattenfall's
commitment to wind energy, and when fully operational, the new wind power plants
will help increase Sweden's share of renewable energy by several per cent,” says
Anders Dahl, Head of Vattenfall Vindkraft Sverige AB, and continues: “We have
been working together with Vestas for several years, and we are confident that
they will fulfil our expectations as regards cooperation, technological
leadership and project execution.”

The wind power plants will be located in the southern part of Sweden.

The above order does not affect the Vestas Group's expectations for 2008, cf.
Company announcement No. 40/2008 of 15 August 2008.
