Vestas receives 660 MW offshore order in Germany

Vestas has received a firm and unconditional offshore order to deliver wind turbines for the first phase of RWE’s Nordseecluster project in Germany. Vestas was selected as preferred supplier for the 1.6 GW cluster (first and second phase) in February 2023 (cf. Vestas News Release 28 February 2023), and the conditional contract for the two phases was signed on 17 May 2024 (cf. Vestas Company Announcement 09/2024).

Contract type:   Supply-and-installation
Contract scope: The contract includes supply, installation, and commis-sioning of the wind turbines, as well as a 5-year service agreement followed by an operational support agreement.
Time of delivery: Delivery and commissioning of the turbines are expected to take place in 2026.
