Vestas receives order for 500 MW in the USA

Vestas has received an order for 303 units of the V82-1.65 MW wind turbine in
the USA. The turbines will have a total installed capacity of 500 MW and will be
delivered to wind power projects in the states of Iowa, Wisconsin and Minnesota.
Vestas will deliver and commission the turbines with delivery scheduled to begin
in 2009 and continue in 2010 and 2011.

The order has been placed by Alliant Energy Corporation, a public utility
holding company headquartered in Madison, Wisconsin. Alliant is a long-term
customer of Vestas, and most recently, in June 2007, Vestas received an order
for the supply of V82-1.65 MW turbines to Alliant's Cedar Ridge Wind Farm in
Wisconsin.

“We are extremely proud to supply the wind turbines to Alliant's projects and to
continue our long-standing working relationship with Alliant,” says Jens Søby,
President of Vestas Americas A/S. “A total of 500 MW of wind generating capacity
will make a significant contribution to the power supply in all three states
where the turbines will be installed. As such, this order is further proof that
wind is poised to become a major player in the national energy mix. What we have
seen so far in the USA is just the beginning. With a stable federal political
framework in place that will allow for planning in the medium and long term, the
industry can start to fully utilise the abundant wind resources in this
country.”

A recent report released by the U.S. Department of Energy shows that wind power
can provide 20 per cent of the nation's electricity by 2030. In 2007, new wind
projects accounted for about 30 per cent of the entire new power-generating
capacity added in the USA.

The above order does not affect Vestas' expectations for 2008 cf. Company
announcement No. 25/2008 of 8 May 2008.
