Vestas has received an order for a total of 92 units of the V82-1.65 MW wind
turbine for the Alegria project in Brazil. The order comprises supply of the
turbines, a VestasOnline™ Business SCADA system as well as a five-year service
agreement.

The order has been placed by New Energy Options (NEO), a company in which the
majority of the shares is owned by Multiner S/A Multiner's goal is to become
one of the most important and diversified private-sector power generators in
Brazil

“We are very pleased to receive this order for Brazil which will be the second
project that Vestas will supply to the Brazilian market. Brazil has one of the
world's best wind energy potentials, reaching 143,000 MW. With a wind energy
target of 2,200 MW installed by 2010 and 5,000 MW by 2015, we have very positive
expectations for the market,” says Juan Araluce, President of Vestas
Mediterranean A/S, and continues: “We look forward to working together with New
Energy Options and hope our partnership will be extended in the years to come.”

The wind power plant will be located in the State of Rio Grande do Norte in the
north-eastern part of Brazil, which is an area with one of the best wind regimes
in the country with average annual wind speeds exceeding 8.5 m/s.

The wind power plant is estimated to produce 492 GWh per year, which will cover
the yearly electricity consumption of approx 194,000 Brazilian households.
Furthermore, it will save approx 115,000 tons of CO2 emission to the atmosphere.

The above order does not affect the Vestas Group's expectations for 2008, cf.
Company announcement No. 25/2008 of 8 May 2008.
