Vestas Wind Systems, elected as supplier of wind turbines for the first offshore wind park in Belgium

The Vestas Group has been chosen as supplier by the Temporary Association Electrabel – Ondememingen Jan de Nul for 50 Vestas V80-2.0 MW offshore turbines for the Seanergy offshore wind project. The first 10 turbines will be installed in 2003 and the remaining 40 turbines in 2004. The expected order, which will have a total value to Vestas of around mEUR 95, is subject to final permissions being issued by the Belgium authorities.
