Vestas Wind Systems, large order for Vestas' wind turbines for the Australian market

The Vestas Group has received an order for delivery of wind turbines for projects with a total capacity of 128 MW. The value of the order is app. 680 million DKK. The order is placed by the Australian power producer Hydro Tasmania, which is operating more than 2,500 MW of hydropower in the state of Tasmania. The turbines will be assembled locally by Vestas and to the extent feasible components will be sourced in Tasmania. The order does not influence the Vestas Group's expectations for year 2002
