Vestas Wind Systems, reduces its production capacity, adjusts 2001 turnover and confirms 2002 turnover

Based on missing extension of the PTC-scheme, Vestas adjusts its production capacity for the USA. Negotiations with the employees have been initiated concerning a work sharing scheme. Missing extension of the PTC-scheme has influenced the order intake from the USA at the end of 2001 and the turnover for 2001 is now expected to amount to app. 9.5 bnDKK (previously 10 bnDKK). Continuously, a turnover of app. 10.5 bnDKK is expected for 2002 based on continued growth in the markets outside the USA.
