Vestas Wind Systems, sells its 40% share of Gamesa Eólica

Vestas Wind Systems A/S (“Vestas”) has entered into an agreement to sell its 40% share of Gamesa Eólica S.A. to Gamesa Group (“Gamesa”) with effect as per 1st Dec. 2001. The selling price has been set at 287 mEUR (2.1 bnDKK) in a cash deal. The price equals app. 21% of the market value of Gamesa. The deal will influence the Vestas 2001 pre-tax result positively with app. 1.7 bnDKK. The pre-tax result for 2001 is now expected to become app. 2.9 bnDKK based on an expected turnover of app. 10 bnDKK
