Vestas Wind Systems, Vestas selected as supplier for 90 MW offshore wind project in the UK

The Vestas Group has together with KBR Halliburton been selected to install a large offshore wind farm in the UK for the British energy company Barrow Offshore Wind Ltd. The project is a complete turnkey project comprising 30 V90-3.0 MW wind turbines. The project will be located in The Irish Sea off Walney Island and is scheduled for completion in 2005. The order, which has a value for Vestas of approx. mEUR 110, does not affect the Vestas Group’s expectations for 2004.
