Diabetic Foot Screening is now available at the Insurance Clinic at Sophiahemmet in Stockholm
Diabetic Foot Screening is introduced at the Insurance Clinic at Sophiahemmet as standard procedure in the clinical operations, for regular control of nerve damage in the feet of people living with diabetes. They are the first private healthcare provider in Sweden to use the method.
The Insurance Clinic Sophiahemmet uses the instrument VibroSense Meter® II and introduces the Diabetic Foot Screening examination as standard procedure in its clinical operations. Existing diagnostics tools, Tuning Fork and Monofilament are thus replaced with Diabetic Foot Screening for conducting foot examinations of people living with diabetes.
"After evaluating the Diabetic Foot Screening in the spring of 2023, we have decided to introduce this examination as a standard procedure for diabetes patients in our clinic. The examination offers clear advantages and detects early sensory changes in the feet, which gives us better opportunities to prevent the development of diabetes-related foot ulcers," says Maarit Korkeila Liden, Operations Manager and Specialist Physician at the Insurance Clinic at Sophiahemmet.
"We are incredibly happy and proud of the collaboration with Insurance Clinic at Sophiahemmet, which is one of the most reputable clinics in Sweden, and also that they have chosen our product and VibroSense as a supplier," says Hans Wallin, CEO of VibroSense Dynamics AB.
