Record demand sees Viezu expand its team
Bromsgrove-based Viezu Technologies, one of the UK’s leading aftermarket engine tuning companies, has expanded its team to satisfy unprecedented levels of demand from customers.
Alasdair Maclachlan has been appointed in the new role of general manager and is responsible for the day to day running of the firm, while its technical team has been doubled in size with the arrival of Dave Parker and Paul Roberts, both graduates from Birmingham City University where they studied motorsport technology.
In addition, a new trainee is also now working with the technical team to give extra support.

Viezu has achieved its enviable position thanks to its unique approach and commitment to customer service. But it’s not just that as an increasing number of motorists and businesses are seeing that engine tuning can actually reduce their fuel bills along with improving performance, especially important given the uncertain economic situation facing many.
Alasdair, who has previously held a number of senior management positions with MG Motor UK, including helping to launch MG6 and also heading up its marketing operations, said: “I’m very excited to be joining Viezu. His main priorities for Viezu over the coming months include further raising its brand awareness among dealers and with the motoring public, both nationally and globally, as well as helping to grow the business even further.
Viezu's growing network of approved dealers currently stands at more than 320, operating from 34 different countries around the world.
Meanwhile, Dave and Paul, who both initially joined on work experience before being offered permanent positions, will be kept busy supporting dealers and writing new remap files, which cover 90 per cent of modern European vehicles.
However, the good news continues as Viezu has recently received Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce’s ‘Innovation Through Technology’ award for its Blue Optimize, an emissionsreducing and fuel saving tuning service, which helps drivers save fuel and money, as well as reduce their CO2 footprint. It also scooped the same prize for the West Midlands region.
In just 36 months and since the launch of Blue Optimize, the company estimates that it has helped motorists to reduce their CO2 emissions by more than 50,000 tonnes.
The company has now developed more than 15,000 individual ECU programs. In some instances Viezu’s products give drivers a massive 15 percent improvement in fuel economy offering businesses, in particular, potential savings of thousands of pounds every year and a rapid return on their investment.
Viezu has also been nominated as Exporter of the Year at the forthcoming 2012 Midlands Business Awards in February, as well as Paul Busby going through to the final for the Innovation and the Entrepreneur of the Year categories.
