The President and CEO of Transatlantic, Håkan Larsson, who will celebrate his 60th birthday in 2007, will step down from his position in 2007 at his own request. As Håkan Larsson's successor, the Board of Directors has appointed Carl-Johan Hagman, who is currently the President of EUKOR Car Carriers Inc in Korea. Carl-Johan Hagman, 41, will assume his position as the new President of Transatlantic in September 2007.

- "I have had a very stimulating term of office at Transatlantic and it has been a considerable privilege, in cooperation with Group management, to have carried out the extensive restructuring and repositioning of the Group. We are now entering into a period of growth, accompanied by healthy profitability and an increasingly strong position in many segments. It is therefore a natural time for me to hand over responsibility to someone else," says Håkan Larsson, President.

- "Håkan Larsson has overseen extensive changes and led renewal activities in the Group. He has worked conscientiously and in a highly satisfactory and professional manner. Today, we have a markedly stronger company with a substantially higher profit level and a market capitalization that is ten times greater than when Håkan Larsson first took office in the former B&N Nordsjöfrakt in 2003," says Folke Patriksson, Chairman of the Board of Transatlantic.

- "We are also highly satisfied with the recruitment of Carl-Johan Hagman as Håkan Larsson's successor. Carl-Johan has many years of experience in shipping and will be a major asset for Transatlantic," says Folke Patriksson.

Håkan Larsson will remain a member of the Board of Directors of Transatlantic and, in addition to a number of other Board appointments and his own business activities, will also be available to perform various investigation and special assignments on behalf of the Transatlantic Group.
