TRANSATLANTIC: TRANSATLANTIC ACQUIRES AGENCY OPERATIONS
Since 2001, Transatlantic has engaged in shipbrokering, shipping and clearance operations in Oxelösund via the Percy Tham i Oxelösund AB company, jointly owned with Broström.
"The acquisition of Percy Tham is an element of the expansion of our operations in the Baltic region, which primarily comprises bulk and line operations involving containers both within Europe and to overseas destinations," remarks Transatlantic President Håkan Larsson.
Percy Tham is a part of Transatlantic's European Services Division.
"We also aim to establish operations in other strategically important Baltic ports," says Jan Thunberg, President of Transatlantic European Services AB.
In 2006, Percy Tham had sales of approximately SEK 6 million, with five employees.
