Seattle, WA (January 28, 2014) – Northwest Yoga Conference, the Pacific Northwest’s largest yoga event, will take place on March 7, 8 and 9 at the Lynnwood Convention Center in Lynnwood, WA.   This year’s conference will feature more than 30 internationally acclaimed yoga teachers including Kathryn Budig, Eoin Finn and Aadil Palkhivala.  Bringing together hundreds of yogis, the Northwest Yoga Conference invites participants of all levels to enjoy yoga, live music, inspirational speakers, yoga lifestyle product samples, a documentary screening, and meditation.

The third annual Northwest Yoga Conference provides an interactive weekend that explores our relationship with nature and its ability to transform our lives.  Attendees will be guided on an intimate and inspirational journey of healing and transformation.   Part of the journey includes a reception and screening of the documentary, Earth Songs, with filmmaker Brian Luke Seaward.  Earth Songs guides the viewer on a relaxing voyage of stunning footage of Mother Earth at her finest with narration by legendary Michael York and music from Grammy award winner, Brian Keane.

Headstands not required at this yoga event, there is something for everyone.  “People are typically surprised to find out that yoga is truly accessible to everyone, not just the yogis who can stand on their heads.” says conference director, Melissa Hagedorn.  In this spirit, the conference offers several free classes throughout the weekend for children, teenagers, beginners and seniors with the goal of encouraging the general public to come out and try yoga.  Additionally, the documentary screening and Keynote Speech, with Molly Lannon Kenny, are open to the public for a nominal fee.

Ready to transform your practice?  Passes for the conference are now available including special passes for studio owners and teachers.  Continuing education credits available for most workshops.  For the complete lineup and registration information, please visit http://www.nwyogaconference.com.

About Northwest Yoga Conference:

The Northwest Yoga Conference was founded in 2012 by a yoga teacher, Melissa Hagedorn, who realized there were no local and affordable opportunities in the winter for yoga students and teachers to retreat. Thus, Melissa founded the Northwest Yoga Conference which aims to celebrate and promote the benefits of yoga while cultivating a unified community through learning, sharing, and growing together.  For more information, please visit www.nwyogaconference.com.  Become a fan of the Northwest Yoga Conference at www.facebook.com/nwyogaconf and follow Northwest Yoga Conference on Twitter at www.twitter.com/nwyogaconf.
