Virtual Care Works Selects GoMyCell as Partner for Secure Medical Texting
CENTENNIAL, CO—October 29, 2o13. Virtual Care Works (VCW) has selected GoMyCell as the provider for secure medical texting offered to physicians and other health care providers as part of the Virtual Care Works platform. The secure texting feature allows users to keep their text messages private through encryption and private key exchanges which meets HIPAA standards for security of medical information.
Virtual Care Works chose GoMyCell to provide secure texting based on the company’s ability to keep the text secure at all times, a hallmark of the Virtual Care Works’ offering. Texts are encrypted before the message is sent and maintain a 2048-bit encryption always. The data is secure both in transit and while it is at rest. The technology is effective on all carrier networks and on most popular phones.

Virtual Care Works offers monthly memberships which start at $75/month for organizations and include secure video-conferencing, email and storage. Secure texting will now be offered as an add-on (at a nominal cost) and organizations will be able to select which users to subscribe to this service.
