--Destination Kicks Off “Winter On the Water” Celebrations--
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Experience a city that sparkles extra bright during the holiday season as Jacksonville lights up and invites visitors from across the nation to spend their Winter on our Waters. The “WOW” holiday tourism campaign promotes two months of festive days and nights in Jacksonville, with special holiday celebrations, deals and offers for families and travelers to enjoy.
Starting Nov. 14 with the St. Johns Town Center Holiday Spectacular, Jacksonville kicks off the WOW holiday 2015 festivities that include WinterFEST at Adventure Landing, Deck the Chairs in Jacksonville Beach, the Community First Jacksonville Light Boat Parade, ZOOLights at the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens, New Year’s Eve Fireworks and the exciting TaxSlayer Bowl.
With so many great events to enjoy November, December and January are the ideal months to visit Jacksonville and experience the holidays like never before. And that’s not all… Jacksonville also has 22 miles of relaxing beaches to unplug in, two national parks to explore, and countless “Only in Jax” experiences like sampling award winning craft beers on the Jax Ale Trial, dining in one of our locally owned restaurants and shopping for local treasures at one of the city’s markets and boutiques making it the perfect destination to call “home away from home” for the holidays!
