NORDIC CHAMPIONSHIP FOR COOK AND WAITER APPRENTICE KICKS OFF IN STOCKHOLM

Scandinavian Students Compete in the Art of Hospitality

Stockholm, Sweden April 2, 2014

Starting on Friday April 4th apprentice students from Scandinavian schools compete in the Nordic championship for cook and waiter apprentice awards. Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Iceland compete in this prestigious competition that mainly attracts students majoring in hospitality and restaurant-focused programs.

Throughout the course of two days, April 4th and April 5th students will compete in everything from the art of being a successful waiter including setting the table applying the craftsmanship of napkin folding, to match and serve the optimal wine for the dishes cooked and prepared by the students competing in the cook category. The cooking competition includes cooking and preparing a four-course meal where a mystery box is presented allowing the students to elaborate and showcase their creativity.
