SCANDINAVIA’S BEST STUDENTS WITHIN HOSPITALITY HAVE BEEN APPOINTED
The winners of the Nordic Championship for Cook and Waiter Apprentice are Celebrated
Stockholm, Sweden April 8, 2014
Last Friday and Saturday, April 4thand 5thapprentice students from Scandinavian schools competed in the Nordic championship for cook and waiter apprentice. Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Iceland joined this prestigious competition that primarily attracts students majoring in hospitality and restaurant- focused programs.
The competition was fierce and the students were challenged through the various tasks. The cooking competition included preparation of a four-course meal where a mystery box with secret ingredients allowed the students to showcase their wit and creativity. The waiter competition involved everything from serving and matching the perfect wine with the dishes cooked, to setting a beautiful table including the artwork of napkin folding.
