Vitec acquires the Swedish software company Unikum datasystem AB
Vitec Software Group AB (publ) is strengthening its Nordic position in Vertical Market Software on January 4 by acquiring all shares in the Swedish software company Unikum datasystem AB. The company reported sales of SEK 102 million, with an adjusted EBIT of SEK 42 million for the 2019 financial year.
Unikum provides the software Pyramid Business Studio, a complete business and enterprise system for small and medium-sized businesses. The product enables for example project management, accounting, customer care and e-commerce. The system consists of a number of independent modules that are joined together into a complete solution based on the customer's needs. 6,500 companies are today using Pyramid, the majority of the customers are in the wholesale and manufacturing industry in Sweden.
Payment will be in cash and with a convertible, with deviation from shareholders’ preferential rights in accordance with the authorization from the Annual General Meeting on June 23, 2020. The convertible matures in 36 months and at full conversion will have a dilutive effect on capital of 0.1%. The acquisition is expected to yield an immediate increase in earnings per share for Vitec. Consolidation will commence as of the acquisition date.

Unikum was founded in 1982 and the company is based in Lund.
