Bergen, Norway, 26 March 2014Vizrt, a leading provider of content production systems for the digital media industry, has announced a new package integrating its IP-based graphics production tool with NewTek TriCaster™ multi-camera live video production systems. Helping to create a smarter workflow for broadcasters, the package - now available to customers - will provide easier control of live video and graphics content in the control room, OB truck or stadium for use on-air or online. At NAB 2014, Vizrt will demonstrate the IP-based Viz Engine and Viz Trio as part of a studio production integration with the TriCaster in the “What’s Next” lounge on its booth (SL2419). NewTek will also feature a demonstration of the integration on its booth (SL4610).

The package provides a fill and key IP stream that’s easily detected by TriCaster. Using NewTek’s SDK, Vizrt has produced an IP-stream recognized automatically by TriCaster as a source for graphics overlay. Viz Trio, Vizrt’s character generator is included in the package as a single-box solution and includes an animated preview, bundled with Viz Engine. A second package includes Viz Trio on a HP ZBook, with still preview to create an ultra-portable graphics and video production solution for mobile production trucks.

“We created the package to provide our customers with a simple and powerful way to produce high-quality content that’s easily scalable for on-air and online use, and which only requires an IT infrastructure,” said Gerhard Lang, chief engineering officer at Vizrt. “When integrated with TriCaster it delivers affordability for non-traditional broadcasters, including online channels, OB truck operators, and college sports productions.”

“We’ve engineered tight integration between TriCaster and 3Play systems to deliver strong workflow capabilities for sports producers – offering aggressive pricing to customers who purchase them together,” said Dr. Andrew Cross, chief technology officer at NewTek. “Integrating the IP-based Viz Engine with our solutions delivers added-value for the sports production industry. The result is a workflow that includes everything from live multi-camera video production, instant replay, slow motion, real-time social media publishing, to stunning 3D graphics of the highest broadcast quality.”
