A USD 1.4 Million Deal with TV Bandeirantes
Vizrt Joins the Brazilian Band
Bergen, Norway, November 13, 2007. Vizrt Ltd. (Frankfurt Prime Standard, Oslo Main List: VIZ) announces today, that one of Brazil's largest national TV network, TV Bandeirantes, nicknamed "Band", has placed a network-wide order for Vizrt's real-time 3D graphics systems. The price of the deal is approximately USD 1.4M.
TV Bandeirantes will equip its entire network center in Sao Paulo with Viz graphics. This includes 3D Caption Generators using Vizrt's Viz|Trio system and a newsroom template graphics installation. TV Bandeirantes' journalists will be able to create 3D news graphics and maps extremely fast by using the award-winning Viz|Content Pilot system linked to Curious World Maps software.
The order extends even further and calls for two state-of-the-art virtual studios, a weather forecasting system, virtual graphics for live sports and interactive SMS graphics for mobile phone users.
This major installation represents the first part of a graphics upgrade strategy being applied by the owners of TV Bandeirantes - Grupo Bandeirantes de Comunicação - based in São Paulo.
The group's plan is to improve also the graphics for their other channels, Band News, Band Sports, Terra Viva and Play TV. All of them will be upgraded with Viz 3D graphics, which will be capable of rendering their animations in HDTV format.
