Indonesian TV channel enhances news production prior to presidential elections

Vizrt Ltd. announced today a deal worth USD 380,000 for the implementation of broadcast graphics products with a TV channel in Indonesia. The channel is a new Vizrt customer who specializes in information-based programming. The decision to purchase Vizrt products was in large part due to Vizrt’s reputation in the region for progressive graphics solutions that allow channels to differentiate themselves from the competition. Vizrt will support the installation with its local staff in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The deal includes Viz Trio, Vizrt’s character generator (CG), to provide fullscreen graphics and overlay graphics during live broadcasts. Studio presence was very important to the customer, hence Viz Virtual Studio was purchased to provide immersive information graphics in the studio. Viz Engine, Vizrt’s real-time compositing engine, was purchased to render video wall graphics as well as allow the operation of an interactive touchscreen. Viz Engine will also render the immersive graphics from Viz Virtual Studio and the graphics triggered from Viz Trio.

The channel plans to use the products to cover presidential elections that will be held in July 2014. After the elections, the graphics systems will be used daily for news and current affairs programs.
