Vizrt Signs Two Rental Deals Worth USD 2.28M with MCOT Thailand

Vizrt Ltd., a leading provider of content production tools for the digital media industry, announced today that the Company has signed two deals, worth in excess of USD 2.28 million, to be recognized over four quarters, starting Q2 2012. The deals are for the rental of Broadcast Graphics software and the provision of services to Thailand-based broadcaster MCOT-CH9.

The first deal includes the one-year rental of studio presentation software for news, sports and entertainment programs. A customer since 2007, CH9 has been using Vizrt's graphics systems for Viz Video Wall ER and Viz Virtual Studio - Vizrt's virtual studio module for scalable, real time 3D virtual studio productions. This deal increases the size of their current video wall with additional Barco screens and adds cameras to the customer's existing virtual set.  Viz Trio is included as a character generator (CG) for both the video wall and virtual set.

The second deal consists of services for installation of the rental products and creative services for the design and implementation of the video wall, virtual set and immersive graphic presentations.

MCOT (Mass Communication of Thailand) has owned the public broadcast license to both TV and more than a thousand radio channels throughout Thailand. CH9 is one of the top 3 networks in Thailand with programming ranging from news to sports to entertainment.
