Vizrt signs USD 1.3 million MAM and broadcast graphics deal with Thairath

Vizrt Ltd. announced today a deal worth USD 1.3 million for the implementation of media asset management (MAM) and broadcast graphics products with Thairath, a TV Channel and Digital Broadcasting provider in Thailand. The deal is the fourth phase of a multi-year project Vizrt has engaged on with the broadcaster.

Viz One, Vizrt’s media management system, is included in the deal to expand the broadcaster’s robust MAM installation that covers news, general programming production, storage, and playback. Viz One will be used to store original TV series as well as content acquired from satellite feeds. Integration with an automation system will trigger Viz One to playback content on air through a video server.

“Thairath has been aggressively expanding their broadcast capabilities over the last few years and Vizrt has been with them from the beginning. The addition of Viz One to their programming distribution shows how this product has matured to become a key component in any broadcasting environment,” stated Martin Burkhalter, Vizrt CEO.

The broadcaster’s news production will be enhanced with the purchase of additional Viz Artist workstations. Viz Artist is Vizrt’s design software that allows a creative department to design graphics for all of Vizrt’s broadcast graphics products.

The customer has been using Viz Virtual Studio, Vizrt’s virtual set control system, for a few years. The deal includes additional Viz Engines, Vizrt’s real-time compositing engine, that will allow the broadcaster to expand the number of cameras used in the studio.
