Bergen, Norway, December 28, 2012. Vizrt Ltd. (Oslo Main List: VIZ)

Vizrt Ltd. announced today a deal worth USD 2 million for broadcast graphics (BG) and media asset management (MAM) products with a new broadcaster in the United States. The new customer is a 24 hour news channel that is purchasing Vizrt products to build up its operations.

The broadcast graphics products include a full MOS newsroom workflow with Viz Content Pilot on an large number of journalist workstations. Viz Content Pilot allows journalists to access templates for easy graphic creation, preview and video browsing directly inside their newsroom control system. The fully automated control rooms will use Viz Trio, Vizrt's character generator (CG), to triggers graphics from a MOS playlist.

The journalists and editors also access graphic templates within their editing systems with Viz NLE plugin providing a pipeline between Vizrt's real-time graphics and pre/post-production by integrating graphic templates into editing systems. This will provide editors with the same graphics elements as the control room.

Dual-channel Viz Engines will be the rendering platform for program and preview graphics playout in all production control rooms. The Viz Engine is a powerful real-time 3D compositing system and the dual channel version combines maximum rendering performance with dual HD SDI output.

As a news channel, the broadcaster is building a large graphics department that will include Viz Artist workstations with real-time 3D design application for each of their designers.

The end-to-end content management solution, Viz Media Engine, will serve as the main production clip storage for the broadcaster. When combined with the Viz Engine, the broadcaster will have a complete workflow system, capable of producing and managing graphics and video, as well as distributing this content.

"This is the perfect way for a new news channel to begin operations" said Martin Burkhalter, Vizrt CEO. "With a fully integrated Vizrt graphics, asset management and workflow system, the broadcaster has everything needed to efficiently produce, manage and deliver top-quality content."
