Vizrt signs USD 395k broadcast graphics deal with a South American news channel

Bergen, Norway, December 19, 2014, Vizrt Ltd. (Oslo Main List: VIZ).

Vizrt Ltd. announced today a deal worth USD 395,000 for the implementation of broadcast graphics products with a new news channel in South America. This new station will be launched in 2015 and requires all the tools for an efficient news workflow for their debut. Vizrt was chosen because of the strong reputation for creating reliable news workflows.

The deal includes everything needed to start a MOS-based news channel. This includes Viz Pilot, Vizrt’s content and control system for the newsroom. Viz Pilot allows journalists to access and fill simple graphics and video templates in their native newsroom control system (NRCS). These templates are added to stories that become a playlist of elements to be used on-air. Included in the templates is the ability to create animated 3D maps with Viz World.

In the control room, Viz Trio, Vizrt’s character generator (CG), displays the playlist of elements coming from the newsroom and allows an operator to trigger them live to air. All graphics and video are composited in real-time with multiple Viz Engines. Designers will be able to create graphic templates and daily graphics with Viz Artist.
