Vizrt, a leading provider of content production tools for the digital media industry, today announced a deal with Channel 7 from Thailand, worth THB 115 million [Thai Baht] (approximately USD 3.5 million). 

The sale provides the Thai public television channel with a full Vizrt workflow, ranging from broadcast graphics creation to network infrastructure. It marks the first combined sale between Vizrt Asia and its strategic partner, Storm Weather Center AS. Based in Bergen, Norway, Storm Weather Center is the leading commercial weather service provider in Scandanavia. One of the deal's components is Viz Weather, a 3D real-time weather solution, with a data feed from the Storm Weather Center service

The sale was completed at the end of Q4.

As the first privately owned weather company in Scandanavia, Storm Weather Center issued its first weather forecast on April 1, 1998. The company is based in Bergen, Norway, a city that provided the center stage for a revolution in meteorology during the beginning of World War I. The company's main objective is to provide meteorological information to both commercial customers and the broad public, informatively packaged according to each customer's specification.
