VärmeKyl Grossisten Scandinavia AB (publ) appoints a new Managing Director

• Tom Ekevall Larsen, former Group CEO and Managing Director of Scribona, will take over as Managing Director of VKG on 20 August 2007.

• VKG’s present Managing Director, Hagge Rilegård, is to work with the company’s international expansion, acquisitions and special growth projects on the basis of his position as a Board Member of VKG.

”In my capacity as Chairman of the Board, I of course respect Hagge Rilegård’s decision to hand over to Tom Ekevall Larsen,” says Nils Ljung. ”Hagge is one of the three founding members of VKG and has been the company’s Managing Director since the company started four years ago. He will remain on the Board of the Company and from that position will work with VKG’s international expansion, acquisitions and special growth projects. I look forward to continuing to work with Hagge as he concentrates his efforts on the expansion of VKG,” concludes Nils Ljung.


Hagge Rilegård says: ”I am happy and confident to hand over the role of Managing Director to Tom. As entrepreneur I enjoy the start-up and growth phases of business most of all and it is on these issues I will concentrate in the future for VKG. With Tom’s competence, experience and personality I feel confident in handing the company over to him,” concludes Hagge Rilegård.


Tom Ekevall Larsen says: ”Taking over as Managing Director of VKG must be one of Sweden’s most exciting jobs. In a short time the company has changed an entire sector and it has all the necessary conditions for being developed into a fantastic company. I will have the benefit of all my previous experience as Managing Director of a stock-exchange listed group, and my experience in such fields as sales, integration work and efficiency at Nordic level. I am joining a strong organisation and I see my task as ensuring that VKG continues its strong growth with good profitability, and becomes established as the prime actor in the Nordic Area in the energy-saving sector,” concludes Tom Ekevall Larsen.

Tom Ekevall Larsen comes from a career spanning many years with the stock-exchange listed Scribona group, the last four years as Group CEO and Managing Director. Prior to the position of Managing Director with Scribona he held positions which included Key Account Manager, Sales Manager, Country Manager, IT Manager, and Division Manager. When Tom Ekevall Larsen left Scribona the group had annual sales of SEK 11 billion.
