Voi coming to Antwerp with top-of-the-range e-scooters

Voi has been chosen to operate e-scooters in Antwerp, it was announced today.

The company has been granted a licence to operate 1,000 e-scooters in Antwerp by the City of Antwerp.

Yessin Aattache, country manager for Voi Belgium, said: “We are delighted to have won the opportunity to operate our e-scooters in Antwerp. We are confident we will revolutionise transport in the city by introducing the most technologically advanced and safest e-scooter on the market - our top-of-the-range Voiager 7.

“We will work with the City of Antwerp and other organisations to ensure that as many people as possible benefit from this safe, affordable and sustainable method of transport. Look out for introductory special offers when we start operating in the city in October.

Features of the e-scooters Voi will be deploying in Antwerp include:

• A dual display dashboard battery level, current speed and indicator status plus real-time information about parking and riding zones.
• Larger tyres, with a 12-inch front tyre and shock absorbers - perfect for Antwerp’s cobblestone streets.
• Widened foot board, for improved comfort, stability and control.
• A dual kickstand with widened reinforced feet to keep the scooter upright even on uneven or slippery surfaces.
• Larger battery capacity, with a range of up to 110kms on a single charge.
• An expanded lifespan of eight years.

The scooter underwent thorough testing in the lab and on simulated city streets, subjecting it to over 40,000 kms of harsh road conditions.

The company will be launching in Antwerp with special introductory prices.
