Liverpool, 29 February 2024: Voi e-scooters and e-bikes are helping thousands of people in Liverpool get around the city for less.

In the last three years, over 22,000 people have benefited from a discount scheme introduced by the operator to make travel more affordable, making savings of over £600,000.

While e-scooter and e-bike hire already offers savings against other forms of transport, low-income groups, medical workers and students are able to save a further 20-50% with a Voi 4 All, Voi for Heroes or Voi 4 Students pass.

Since e-scooters launched in the city three years ago, over 16,000 people have benefited from the Voi 4 Heroes discount pass which provides NHS staff, Blue Light Card holders, military personnel and veterans with a 20% discount on a day or month pass.

Together they have saved over £500,000.

Over 2,200 people on low incomes have saved 50% with a Voi 4 All pass, amounting to over £49,000 and over 3,200 students have saved 20% with Voi 4 Students, equating to over £21,000.

The discount schemes are designed in partnership with cities and local communities and people can apply at voi.com/voi-4-discounts.

Jack Samler, Voi general manager UK, Ireland and France, said: “I’m delighted that so many people in Liverpool have benefited from being able to travel to work, education or social events more affordably thanks to our discount scheme.

“As a sustainable operator, it’s important to us that our service is affordable, socially inclusive and accessible to everyone and we are proud to work with our local authority partners to create this range of tailored discounts to cater for people with varied economic circumstances.”
