Volati has appointed Andreas Stenbäck as new Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”) and Chief Investment Officer (“CIO”) for Volati. He takes up his position in September 2019, replacing the present CFO Mattias Björk, who has decided to leave his position after ten successful years. Mattias will have continuing involvement in Volati in the role of Board member of several of the Group’s subsidiaries.

Andreas Stenbäck comes most recently from his role as partner and responsible for Swedish business at MCF Corporate Finance, an international corporate finance firm specialising in M&A transactions. Andreas was previously managing partner of Keystone Advisers, which merged with MCF Corporate Finance in 2016. He holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from the Royal Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Stockholm University. Andreas has solid M&A experience and has been responsible for a large number of acquisitions in a variety of industries over the years.

“I have followed Volati for more than 10 years and have participated as an advisor in a number of the acquisitions that Volati has carried out during that period. So it feels great to now have the opportunity to join other employees in taking a more active role in the Company’s development. As new CFO and CIO, I look forward to an exciting journey with a focus on continued growth and long-term value creation,” says Andreas Stenbäck.

“I am delighted to welcome Andreas to Volati. We have a strong financial position and a stated strategy of creating value through acquisitions. Andreas’ solid financial expertise and extensive experience of successful M&A processes will be invaluable in our continuing development of Volati. I would also like to thank Mattias for the fantastic work he has done during his ten years with Volati. He has been an absolutely key individual in the Company and his importance to Volati’s successful development cannot be overestimated,” says Mårten Andersson, CEO of Volati.

Andreas Stenbäck has acquired purchase options for 800,000 ordinary Volati shares from the Company’s main owners Karl Perlhagen and Patrik Wahlén at a price of approximately SEK 2.5 million. The options have a maturity in June 2023 with a strike price of SEK 55.50 per ordinary share.
