Volvo wins Coach of the Year 2019 award in Spain
The new range of Volvo 9000 coaches wins the prestigious award Coach of the Year 2019 in Spain.
The Spanish traveling magazine Revista Viajeros has awarded the new Volvo 9000 coach range Coach of the Year 2019. The Volvo coach range is awarded for its comfort, safety, driveability and productivity. The award ceremony took place January 23 in Madrid.
The award is part of the national prizes to the best industrial vehicles of the Spanish market and is granted by a jury composed of a broad representation of operators and professionals of the sector. It is seen as one of the most prestigious awards in the transport sector and the jury consists of experts, operators, associations, authorities, manufacturers and agents working with transport of people and goods.

It’s always an honor to receive a prize of this caliber and for us it is translated into recognition of all the efforts of a team involved to achieve all the advancements introduced in the Volvo 9000 range”, said Jaime Verdú, Commercial Director of Volvo Buses in Spain.
Volvo’s new premium-class coach platform marks the company’s biggest investment in this segment in more than 20 years. The new coach range is based on a comprehensive concept for tourism operations and incorporates a multitude of advances ranging from the structure and driving properties, new safety features to its exclusive first class design.
The Volvo 9000 range was launched in 2018. The first coaches will begin to circulate on Spanish roads in the coming months.
