Media advisory – not for publication: Volvo Car UK at SMMT Test Day 2026
14 May 2026 – Volvo Car UK will be attending SMMT Test Day 2026 with a fully electric line-up, showcasing the brand’s strong EV offering across many segments.
- Fully electric car line-up will showcase the brand’s EV offering
- All new Volvo EX60 will be on display
Less than one month since the first all-electric Volvo EX60 rolled off the production line in Torslanda, Sweden, the game-changing SUV will make its UK debut on display at Millbrook. Having been built on Volvo Cars’ latest SPA 3 electric vehicle architecture, the EX60 is designed to deliver uncompromised electric mobility for a new era.
In the time taken to enjoy some coffee and Swedish fika – the EX60 can add up to 211 miles of range*. Combined with a class leading range of up to 503 miles**, the EX60 is designed to turn range anxiety into range comfort.
The fully electric ES90 will also be available to drive, with both the Ultra and Plus models of this premium saloon on site to experience. Both will be powered by the Single Motor Extended Range powertrain, allowing you to drive further, in a car that is made to move.
The Volvo EX90 also will feature in the line-up featuring the latest 800v architecture. The system enables faster charging, improved energy efficiency, increased motor performance and reduced weight – helping deliver a more refined and confident driving experience.
The Volvo EX40 is the fifth addition to the line-up, bringing the head turning style of Volvo Car UK’s best-selling XC40, with all the benefits of a Battery Electric Vehicle.
To complete the EV line-up the Volvo EX30 will be shown in the latest Black Edition specification, featuring high-gloss black exterior detailing.
We also have a surprise visitor to our line-up to drive on the day - a pristine condition S90 Executive from 1997. The inspiration behind the all-new ES90 will be available to take on the track, for drivers to experience a shining example of Volvo Cars’ 99-year heritage.
