A smarter way to have a car in Sickla with Volvo On Demand
Atrium Ljungberg has started a collaboration with Volvo On Demand in Sickla (Stockholm) to offer residents, companies, and its own employees flexible car access. In addition to the value it adds to users, the collaboration also means that local emissions can be reduced, and parking spaces can be replaced for other uses.
For 20 years, Atrium Ljungberg has developed Sickla from an industrial area into a lively district with a mix of workplaces, housing, schools, commerce, and culture. Here, resource efficiency is at the core, together with solutions that make it easier for people to make sustainable choices. In a collaboration with Volvo On Demand, residents and businesses are offered access to shared electrified cars from Volvo and Polestar.
"Sustainable travel habits are a priority area in Sickla and at all Atrium Ljungberg locations. Easy access to a car when needed is a key factor in getting more people to use bicycles and public transport," says Saga Jernberg, Sustainability Manager at Atrium Ljungberg.
The Volvo On Demand service is flexible and easy to use. A reservation of a car is made directly in the app for an hour, weekend, week, or month and the car is unlocked using the mobile phone. AI technology enables advanced demand prediction and access optimization for users. A shared car from Volvo On Demand replaces the need for up to nine privately owned cars.
"We share Atrium Ljungberg's view on resource efficiency and sustainable thinking, where the value for customers is a driver. We are proud of the collaboration in Sickla and look forward to expanding the offer together," says Erik Jivmark, CEO of Volvo Car Mobility.
The collaboration means that Atrium Ljungberg will offer Volvo On Demand's service to residential customers and businesses in Sickla. Atrium Ljungberg's own employees will also be able to use electrified cars from Volvo and Polestar through Volvo On Demand.
